Awnings and Canopies Warranty

We offer one of the most comprehensive warranties in the business. Please read carefully for details on our warranty. We want all our customers to be satisfied and enjoy their shade experience for many years. Even though, much care is taken into the manufacture of our products, it is still possible that a problem may arise in the future. (If shade structure is installed in an area exposed to hurricanes, removal of the shade fabric is required when a hurricane warning is issued).

SUNSHADE FACTORY CO Shades rests assure knowing that your purchase is covered by our fabric manufacturers backed warranty. The fabric is guaranteed to withstand the eroding effects of the sun for up to ten years under normal conditions.

During the term of the warranty, the Company will provide service to the customer when deemed necessary, provided that the customer’s account with the Company is current and/or paid in full. The limited warranty stated in this section is given in lieu of any other guarantee or warranty, whether expressed or implied, including without limitation the warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

All warranties will be validated upon final payment of the invoice. Failure to pay final balance due will result in the warranty being voided. The owner shall notify SRP with original Sales Order Number issued from SRP to arrange for an inspection within 15 days after discovery of any defect under this warranty and before any alteration or repair is made or attempted. This Limited Warranty shall be null and void if the owner makes any alterations in design.

SUNSHADE FACTORY CO is not responsible for errors or damage in installation or modification by non-Sunshade Factory co installers and the warranty will become void.

The warranty will also become void if installed on frames other than those manufactured by SUNSHADE FACTORY CO.

Structural frame is covered for a period of 10 years against failure due to corrosion or faulty workmanship. Sunshade Factory co does not warranty against surface rust, however the frame is guaranteed not to fail due to corrosion or rust on the frame, fittings or cable.

All hardware, cables, turnbuckles and fittings are covered for a period of 12 months from date of purchase.

All warranties shall be void if damage to the steel frame or paint is caused by contact with chemicals, misuse, vandalism or any act of God, including but not limited to, ice, snow or wind in excess of the applicable building code parameters.

The warranty is void if any changes, modifications, additions, or attachments are made to the product without the written consent of the manufacturer. No signs, objects, ornaments, fans, lights, fixtures, or decorations may be hung from the top part of a shade structure unless specifically designed and engineered by the manufacturer. These items may interfere with the fabric causing the warranty to be void.

SHADE FABRIC

5 Year Limited Fabric Warranty on Commercial 95 Shade Cloth.

Your purchase is covered by our fabric manufacturers backed warranty on a pro-rata basis for a total period of 3 years against significant failure due to ultraviolet deterioration, rot, mildew, fading of the shade cloth.

Not covered are rips and tears caused by means other than faulty workmanship. Shade netting is not warranted against contact with chemicals, caustic materials, open flames or any other heat source.

SUNSHADE FACTORY CO is not responsible for errors or damage in installation or modification by non-Sunshade Factory co installers and the warranty will become void.

The warranty will also become void if installed on frames other than those manufactured by Sunshade Factory co.

DIY Shade Sails are not warrantied on anything and by any means (MANUFACTURED STRUCTURES, SHADES NETTING, and HARDWARE), if structures and/or shade sails have been installed by a Sunshade Factory co installer.

Exception: The Cherry Red shade cloth is only warranted for 1 year against fading.

The colors red and yellow are warranted against significant fading for only two years. If the corners of the fabric are equipped with both holes in the fabric corner PLUS reinforcing straps, BOTH the strap and fabric hole must be placed over each corner hook or the fabric warranty is void.

Fabric curtains, valences, or flat vertical panels are not covered under the warranty. 5 Year Fabric warranty.

Your purchase is covered by our fabric manufacturers backed warranty on a pro-rata basis for a total period of 5 years against significant failure due to ultraviolet deterioration, rot, mildew, and fading of the membrane. -Not covered are rips and tears caused by means other than faulty workmanship. The fabric is not warranted against contact with chemicals, caustic materials, open flames or any other heat source.

POWDER COATING

SUNSHADE FACTORY CO offers a 1-year Limited Warranty for powder coating to the original purchaser. This Limited Warranty is for factory applied finish only. Damage occurring from shipping, erection, vandalism, accidents, or field modification is not covered in this limited warranty and will require field touch-up immediately and periodically thereafter. The owner must report any defect in powder coat at the time the installation is completed. Not covered by this Limited Warranty are acute angles, welds, and end plates.

The coatings shall retain their original color with a DE of less 7.5 units for high chroma colors, (Yellows, Reds, Oranges, ETC.) and a DE of less 5.0 units for low chroma colors, when tested in accordance with ASTM D 2244. The coating shall retain a minimum of 50% of its original glass level after washing, when tested in accordance with ASTM D 523.

The coating shall exhibit chalking no worse than numerical rating of 6, when evaluated in accordance with ASTM D 659-80.

1 Year Limited Component Warranty.

The stitching, connection hardware, and cables are all guaranteed for up to 1 year under normal conditions. If a shade sail becomes unsown or color drastically fades you can send it to our repair center and we will fix it according to our warranty terms. All of our products are made with quality materials and crafted by skilled workers. This warranty only applies for shades structures installed by Sunshade Factory co.

Rips and tears caused by other than faulty workmanship are not covered. Furthermore, shade cloth is not warranted against contact with chemicals or caustic materials. In addition, we will not warranty the product if it is used for any other purpose than what it was intended for.

Wind Warranty

Warranty coverage is not applied to sails tops which have been destroyed by natural disasters such as hurricanes, tornadoes, etc.* and customer is responsible for the removal and re-installation of the shade tops.

*Shade tops are covered for gusts up to 50 mph winds and sustained winds up to 40 mph. The warranty is void if gusts exceed 50 mph winds.

Fabric is covered for gusts up to 50 mph winds and sustained winds up to 40 mph. Should winds gusts exceed 50 mph winds respectively, shade fabrics must be removed. Such circumstances would be apparent in natural disasters like hurricanes, tornadoes, etc. We will not warranty shade tops or shade sails that have been destroyed due to such occurrences. The customer is responsible for the removal and re-installation of the top(s). Failure to remove the fabric shall void the fabric warranty.

*This warranty will take effect only if the Shade top is installed by Sunshade Factory co and on our own structures. We will not warrant shade tops installed in structures by others. Wind records are based on the local city records and/or weather.com whichever is greater.

Shipping costs to and from the repair center is also customer responsibility.

Lastly, Sunshade Factory co will not be responsible for damage(s) caused by our shade tops and its hardware components either directly or indirectly to any other personal property on the owner’s premise.

SHADE STRUCTURES

10 Year Limited Structure Warranty

Warranty covers our structural steel products on a pro-rata basis for a total period of 10 years against failure caused by corrosion or faulty

Should a problem arise caused by faulty workmanship, we will fix it according to our limited warranty’s standard terms and conditions. We will either repair or replace your product (depending upon problem severity) and restore it back to its original condition. Our commitment to customer satisfaction goes far beyond the initial purchase. We want our customers to enjoy our products.

**At this time we only install shade sails and shade structures in areas which we are able to provide service. In certain areas we may provide assistance with removal and re-installation of shade tops for a nominal fee. As a customer, you can be confident that you’re Sails and Shade Structures will last for many years to come. Should a problem arise caused by faulty workmanship, we will fix it according to our limited warranty’s standard terms and conditions.

SUN-BRELLA SHADE STRUCTURES

Please read carefully for Sun-brella structures

All Sun-brella structures comes with a 24 month limited warranty on the frame and a 36 month limited warranty on the canopy.

Fabric warranty for 36-months.

Sun-brella structures warranty does not cover any damages caused by faulty installation, winds or product misuse.

Sun-brella structures are not rated for heavy wind loads and should only be used in light to moderate wind conditions.

Retract fabric during windy conditions.

All Sales Are Final.

This warranty does not

Cover damage caused by vandalism, misuse or abuse, altered or modified parts, or cosmetic damage such as scratches, dents, or fading or weathering and normal wear and tear. SUNSHADE FACTORY CO will deliver the repaired or replacement part or parts to the site free of charge, but will not be responsible for labor or the labor costs of replacement. Warranty claims must be filed within the applicable warranty period and accompanied by a sales order or invoice number.
